While Ampere may not provide precise milliampere accuracy, it serves as a helpful tool to evaluate the effectiveness of different Charger/USB cable combinations on the same device.

The charging current can be influenced by several factors such as the type of charger (USB/AC/Wireless), USB cable quality, phone model, current background tasks, display brightness, WiFi and GPS status.

It's essential to interpret the app's readings with caution and not as definitive scientific data. Nevertheless, the app offers a relative comparison to determine how various chargers and USB cables perform on your specific device.

Background Information: Ampere measures the charging/discharging current of your device's battery. When your phone is not connected to a charger, you will observe a negative discharging current. Once plugged in, the charger's current input powers your phone while recharging the battery with any excess power.

Technical Information: The displayed current is an average value derived from 50 measurements, excluding the 10 highest and 10 lowest values. Fluctuations or even zero readings may occur due to inherent instability in Android system-provided data. Variations in battery types and hardware configurations across manufacturers can further impact the accuracy of these readings.
